Newer to the Valley, meet Lisa Knowles, a professional interior designer with 19 years of residential and commercial experience. With two school-aged children of her own, Lisa knows how to design around the needs of a growing family, with a focus on affordability, comfort, function and room for expansion.
Lisa’s specialty is involving her clients in the process. “If you like Zebra stripes, then Zebra stripes you’ll have and we’ll make it work in your home”. One of her clients says; “Thanks, Lisa. I love everything you’ve done to make my home more “me” and I enjoy it every day”. “There is a stigma attached to interior designers that they will come in and bulldoze through, spending your money frivolously and missing what’s important to you, just to “paint that pretty picture”. I want to dispel that.” Says Lisa Knowles, owner of Lisa Knowles Design Group of north Mesa.
She also ensures that your space is functional, taking into account color, lighting, traffic patterns, and so much more. Finally, she understands how to not only make a design fit within a budget, but also make the most of it. You won’t get a quick fix, but rather a long-term plan that can grow with your lifestyle and your family. “A good interior designer should listen and then apply all knowledge of space, color, light, balance, and budgeting. You will end up with a space (whether it’s a room or your whole house) that is enjoyable, and functional.” Says Lisa.

A master plan gives you the knowledge to make purchases as you budget for them and know what you need to buy.” says, Lisa Knowles. Raised in the Chicago area, Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts in interior design from the College of Design at Iowa State University. She loves the desert valley and the many ways interior design can flow inside and out for comfortable, year-round living.
